Work Samples

During my senior year at Seattle Pacific University, I had the opportunity to work as a junior designer at Crested Crane Interiors. This role gave me my first step into the professional design world and helped build my confidence in translating design concepts into real-world projects. It also allowed me to sharpen my technical skills through hands-on experience. Below are a few projects that either taught me the most or genuinely inspired me.

The Spa Team Showroom - Tenant Improvement

For this project, the client brought in our team to redesign both the interior and exterior of the building. Under the supervision of the principal, I conducted a space study for the showroom focused on optimizing customer flow and breaking up the open floor plan. I also developed an exterior design concept for the building. This was an exciting opportunity to practice space planning and consider how my design concepts would function in a real-world buildout.

Tacoma Residence

One of my final projects at Crested Crane was a full-scope design assignment where I was responsible for selecting all finishes, fixtures, and lighting for both the interior and exterior. This project allowed me to take initiative, manage the design process from start to finish, and stay closely attuned to the client’s needs throughout. Below are images of the completed space, along with several finish selection sheets that reflect the overall interior look and feel.

Ashe Preperatory Academy

Our team was brought on to this project to select furniture and art for Ashe Preparatory Academy, a nonprofit charter school. I was tasked with developing a space plan to guide furniture selection and support the functional needs of the space, specifically the flow and daily movement of teachers, students, and staff. It was especially meaningful to contribute, even in a small way, to a nonprofit project, as I’m passionate about the role design can play in educational environments.

Exterior Design Concepts

One area I was frequently tasked with was developing exterior design concepts for buildings. Sometimes I worked from a provided material palette, experimenting with different ways to apply it; other times, I generated my own ideas and presented them to the principal for feedback. Over time, I found myself really enjoying this process. One of the companies I worked on, Home Oasis, was even featured in a local media outlet (KXLG). Below are a few of my favorite exterior concepts.
